With the Home-API, Home Application Program Interface, Intel and Microsoft have defined a proprietary programming interface (API) for household appliances. The Home API allows household appliances such as stoves, door openers, refrigerators, air conditioners, shutter controls, etc. to communicate via the Internet. the Home API uses the USB interface as the physical interface.
