Hydrargyrum Medium-Arc-Length Iodide(HMI) lamps are gas discharge lamps used for lighting in filming and video recording.

HMI lamps have a color temperature of 5,600 Kelvin (K) to 6,000 K, which is equivalent to daylight. They operate at relatively low pressure, have a short heat-up time and a high color rendering index( CRI). Since their color temperature corresponds to daylight, images taken with HMI lamps can be combined with daylight images.
