packed encoding rules (PER)

Packed Encoding Rules (PER) are rules with which information encoded in Abstract SyntaxNotation One( ASN.1) is encoded during transmission and decoded during reception. The Packed Encoding Rules are the successor rules of the Basic Encoding Rules( BER). They are much more efficient in terms of the number of bytes transmitted and the size of the coders and decoders generated.
