phablet
The term phablet is a neologism of phone and tablet. It is thus an in-between between a smartphone and a tablet PC; the best features of both are combined. Unlike a smartphone, a phablet has a larger screen, though it does not reach the screen size of a tablet PC, and unlike a tablet PC, a phablet allows you to make phone calls.
While the touchscreens of smartphones have screen diagonals of up to 4"(inches) and slightly above, equivalent to 10 cm, those of phablets are between 5" and 7", between 12.5 cm and 17 cm. On this screen size, video can be played and the Internet can be surfed, with a much better resolution than on a smartphone. This is around 800 x 1,200 pixels. Another feature that distinguishes phablets is the technology with the input pen, the stylus pen. Other advantages over tablets are the smaller size and lighter weight of phablets. .
In terms of performance, phablets are comparable to or better than smartphones and tablets in terms of processors, memory and storage capacity. In terms of operating systems, the well-known smartphone operating systems are used.
