virtual circuit number (X.25) (VCN)

Virtual Circuit Number (VCN) is a 12-bitdata field in the Packet Level Protocol( PLP) header of X.25. It is used to identify the virtual circuit and allows the Data Communication Equipment( DCE) to determine the route through the X.25 network.
