SIM access profile (Bluetooth) (SAP)

Like the Handfree Profile(HFP), the SIM Access Profile (SAP) is a standardized Bluetooth profile that is also used in automotive technology.

With the SAP profile, the cell phone gives all the information from the SIM card to the hands-free system so that the subscriber can register in the mobile network via the hands-free system. For this purpose, the hands-free system accesses the SIM card of the cell phone via the Bluetooth connection.
