critical machine-type communication (5G) (cMTC)

Critical Machine-Type Communication (cMTC) is a requirement profile defined by 3GPP for 5th generation( 5G) mobile networks.

cMTC communication is about critical applications where large amounts of data have to be transmitted with high reliability and with lowest latency in real time.

Such applications are increasingly found in industrial controls, in production, but also in vehicle communication, smart cities, smart wearables, in the field of e-health as well as in virtual reality and augmented reality.
