Distinctive Ringing(DR) is a call differentiation feature where calls are identified by distinctive ring tones.

Distinctive ringing is a feature of telephone companies and PBXs that can be used to identify external and internal calls. With Distinctive Ringing, each individual telephone number can be assigned a specific ring tone.

With Distinctive Ringing, the various telephone numbers, national, international, municipal or company-related are assigned their own ring tones by the local exchange or the private branch exchange.
