Domain popularity is an evaluation factor for search engine optimization.

While the link popularity captures the quantity of inbound links of a website, this evaluation is relativized due to manipulation possibilities with the domain popularity in that each link from a website A to a website B is counted only once, even if hundreds of web pages of the corresponding website have links to the same homepage or another landing page. In this evaluation, the link quality is the main focus. In the domain popularity rating, only one link occurs.

Yahoo has the search command "linkdomain" for determining the domain popularity. Through this search command, the user can determine the domain popularity. Linkdomain:www.domain.com.
