dynamic range increase (DRI)
Dynamic Range Increase (DRI) is an image combination technique that increases the dynamic range of the digital photo.
Dynamic Range Increase, as it could be translated, is a special technique to make partially underexposed or overexposed areas in the digital photo brighter or darker, respectively, and to add drawing to these image areas. This is done by combining several photos of the same, unchanged object taken with different exposure times and combining the individual digital photos using image processing.
Dynamic Range Increase is usually used for static objects; buildings, cities, mountains, which can be photographed unchanged in their position. The DRI technique does not require a special graphic format, photos in RAW format can be used for DRI conversion as well as JPEG.
