graphics layout engine (GLE)

Graphics Layout Engine (GLE) is a graphical scripting language suitable for creating high-quality graphics for the printing industry, such as table graphics, presentation graphics, plots or diagrams.

The script language supports the creation of various charts such as histograms, bar charts, exploded diagrams, contour and surface plots with simple and flexible graphic commands. For more complex graphics, GLE provides subroutines, variables and logical controls.

Text representations can be executed in LaTeX. In addition, GLE supports formal and graphical representation of mathematical formulas. GLE graphics can be output in EPS file format, Postscript, PDF file format, JPEG and PNG. GLE can be licensed as Berkeley Software Distribution( BSD).
