message oriented text interchange system (MOTIS)

Message Oriented Text Interchange System (MOTIS) is an ISO standard for an e-mail service according to ISO 8505/8883 for a message oriented text exchange system. The basic elements of MOTIS are compatible with the MHS specifications of X.400. MOTIS belongs to the special application service elements ( SASE).
