single edge contact (chip design) (SEC)

The SEC technology(Single Edge Contact) is a package technology from Intel from the 90s, which was first used in the Pentium Pro 200. The Single Edge Contact technology combines the central processing unit( CPU) and the second- level cache in a package that is closed on all sides. The SEC packages can have several hundred contacts. They are connected to the motherboard via a contact strip.
