IP over DAB (IPoDAB)

Digital audio broadcast( DAB) and other digital radio transmissionshave, in addition to the data channels for audio data, further data channels for services that are directly related to the program or also have no relation to the program such as Non-Program Associated Data( NPAD). Various information can be transmitted via these services.

To keep the approach future- proof, IPoDAB( IP over DAB) has been defined as an IP service standardized by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute( ETSI), which can be used, for example, to transmit moving image data in streaming unidirectionally to the receivers.
