coded magnetic character 7 (CMC7)

The CMC7 character set, Coded Magnetic Character 7 (CMC7), is a Magnetic Ink Character Recognition(MICR) font that has been standardized by the International Standards Organization( ISO) as ISO 1004.

The CMC7 character set is used in Europe, South America, and many other countries, whereas the E13B character set is used in the United States and Canada. It consists of the ten digits, 26 letters and five special characters. There are four different versions of the CMC7, which differ in font size and width. In Germany, the CMC-7 character set is standardized by DIN under DIN 66007.
