The term jailbreak first appeared in connection with the Apple devicesiPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, where the operating systemiPhone OS( iOS) was modified and thus additional functions could be unlocked or more could be installed on the device. For example, jailbreaking can unblock other mobile networks. Also, the icons, status indicators, keyboards and other functions can be changed. Jailbreaking invalidates the warranty conditions.
