low bit rate voice (LBRV)

Low Bit Rate Voice (LBRV) is a sampling technique for speech coding. With this method, the analog signal is sampled every 15 to 30 ms and converted into a 30- byte frame. The transmission rate is below the channel capacity of ISDN with 64 kbit/s.
