mesh connectivity layer (Microsoft) (MCL)

Mesh Connectivity Layer (MCL) is a technology for mesh networks through which users can connect their computers to the mesh network.

The Mesh Connectivity Layer allows computers on the mesh network to connect to the Internet. The MCL concept was developed for the Windowsoperating system by Microsoft and by several universities.

The connection to the mesh network is made via a virtual network adapter. Routing functionality is provided by the Link Quality Source Routing( LQSR) routing protocol. This protocol is based on Dynamic Source Routing( DSR).
