powerline digital subscriber line (PDSL)

PowerlineDigital Subscriber Line (PDSL) is a connection technology using broadband powerline( BPL).

PDSL technology does not use the Cenelec frequency bands for powerline transmission, but frequency bands between 1.6 MHz and 30 MHz. With PDSL, telecommunications services, television and the Internet are fed in with fiber to the curb( FTTC) at the switching distributor on the sidewalk and fed into the low-voltage network via the power line using Powerline.

Users can then use the various services via a PCL modem, which they simply plug into a power socket. Billing is on the same basis as for the broadband cable network or satellite services. The data rates for PDSL range from 1 Mbit/s to 200 Mbit/s.
