received signal level (RSL)

The Received Signal Level (RSL) is the level that can be measured at the input of a radio receiver.

Nomogram for the conversion from dBm to µW.

Nomogram for the conversion from dBm to µW.

The received is essentially the same as the received field strength( RSS), it is expressed like the latter in decibels milliwatts( dBm) and refers to one milliwatt (mW). In addition to the dBm specification for electronic signals, which refers to 1 mW, corresponding to 0 dBm, the received input level for optical signals can also refer to one microwatt (µW) and thus be expressed in dB µW.
