relative link
While the absolute link specifies the target address with domain name, host name and subpages, the relative link omits the domain and host name.
The link specification thus consists only of the subpages and is thus related to the document currently being visited. Such a relative target address looks like this for the term" deep link": /definition/lexicon/deep-link-deep-link.html.
Relative links have a higher flexibility, which is especially useful when renaming the website, because relative links remain unchanged. They are especially popular for internal links.
