In a call-up statistic, Visitor Statistics, the information about the users of a website collected and analyzed by means of web analysis is presented. In such visitors statistics, the website visitors are recorded with their IP addresses and their behavior is analyzed. For the collection and analysis of the visitors, there are statistics tools with which call-up statistics are created.
Depending on the evaluation tool, retrieval statistics provide information about the visitors, some even in real time. They record the IP address, the web page called up, the time at which the visitor called up a web page and the duration of the visit.

Many tools distinguish between returning and unique visitors. They provide information about page impressions per hour, day, week or month and create hit lists of the most frequently accessed keywords. Furthermore, retrieval statistics inform about the used web browser and the Top Level Domain (TDL) of the visitor.
The log files also store information about the country of origin, operating system, browser, plug-ins, keywords, referrers, ranking on the results pages and destination URLs.
