RG-174 cable
The RG-174 is a particularly thin micro- coaxial cable with a diameter of 2.67 mm and a stranded inner conductor consisting of 7 x 0.16 mm, via which low power can be transmitted over short distances. The shielding is a braid of copper clad steel wire (A/U version).
Frequency response extends into the gigahertz range. Attenuation is 12 dB/100 m at 10 MHz, 29 dB/100 m at 100 MHz, and about 100 dB/100 m at 1 GHz. Accordingly, its use is within RF systems, devices, on circuit boards, in portables or in test equipment. Connectors used include the MCX connector, the MC card connector and the MMCX connector. The 50 ohm cable RG-174 has a dielectric made of polyethylene( PE) and an outer jacket made of polyvinyl chloride( PVC).
