U3 technology
The U3 technology stands for a mobile desktop technology, where the entire personal workstation is stored on a USB stick and can be operated on any personal computer.
Not only data is stored on the USB stick, but also all user programs and the user settings. When such a U3 USB stick is inserted into a personal computer( PC), the user has his own desktop with his user programs, data, passwords and settings at his disposal.
As soon as the U3 USB stick is inserted into the USB interface, the programs install themselves via the U3 Launchpad and the user can work with his own programs and data. He is therefore no longer dependent on his own PC and can work anywhere.
The concept, developed by the Californian company U3- LLC, also takes into account that with extensive programs the data rates of USB sticks could slow down the application and copies the programs and data to the hard disk. When the USB stick is pulled out, however, they are removed again without leaving entries in the registry on other PCs.
