buffer page

A buffer page is a web page that is sent before the actual web page when a link is clicked. It is stored in the web server that contains the web page with the clicked link, and not in the provider's web server.

There are various reasons for keeping buffer pages. For example, buffer pages are used in banner advertising, where they are displayed instead of the advertised web page. Buffer pages are used on websites that are harmful to minors in order to draw attention to the fact that they are harmful to minors. Before the user reaches the corresponding website, the buffer page with the information is displayed. Buffer pages are also used in search engine optimization. The buffer pages can be used exclusively for the display of additional metatags, or also for optimization for various search engines.
