Mail communication over the Internet

Mail communication over the Internet

In general, mail routing occurs between two users, from which the mail sender is a mail client or mail user agent( MUA) that sends an email to the sending mail transfer agent( MTA). From there, the e-mail goes on to the receiving Mail Transfer Agent and on to the receiving Mail User Agent, which displays the e-mail on the screen as a mail client.
