wireless interface device (WLAN) (WID)
In mobile networks, location-based services can be offered to the user. These local-based services( LBS) are broadcast by local service points( LSP).
The information dissemination of location-based services in mobile networks takes place only in spatially small areas. The local access points can communicate with the mobile terminals, the wireless interface devices (WID), via Bluetooth or WLAN; alternatively, a connection via GSM, General Packet Radio Service( GPRS) or UMTS is also conceivable. This essentially depends on how busy the hotspots are.
